Located on a stunning waterfront lot directly across the lake from Seward Park, this home was designed by a local architect in the early 70’s and had maintained some of its original, PNW modern character. But through a series of unfortunate remodels, lost it’s true self (see before pics below). The clients came to us hoping to bring it back to its original glory. To which we replied “challenge accepted!” While the footprint would remain as is, the entire main floor was gutted and much of the exterior was opened up to allow for large sliding doors. These not only bring in light and view, but brought new life to the existing deck that tended to sit unused due to its relationship (or lack thereof) with the interior. The floor plan was also completely reconfigured putting the kitchen as the central feature and offering better flow througout while also engaging a living room that felt sad and lonely before. This project is in progress. Check back for updates!
